Jared Jones

A lifelong native of LaGrange, Jared is a 1982 graduate of LaGrange College where he received a BS degree in Business. Following graduation, he joined a Forest Products Company dealing with timber appraisals and acquisitions. In 1986, he obtained his Real Estate license and is currently licensed in Georgia and Alabama. In 1989 he formed the J.T. Jones Company, a full-service forestry company that also dealt with land acquisition and development.

In 2001, Jared felt that the time had come to expand his development efforts into a real estate company and as a result, J.T. Jones and Associates was formed.

The development business and real estate company proved to be very successful and in 2004, the timber business was sold allowing him to concentrate wholly on real estate sales and larger developments.

In 2007, Jared organized a group of local investors and bankers to form The LaGrange Banking Company, where he serves as chairman of the board.

Jared is also very much involved with LaGrange College. After serving many years as a member of the LaGrange College Leadership Council and President's Society, he was elected to Board of Trustees in 2008.

He and his family are members of the First Baptist Church on the Square, and he serves on the Trellis Society for West Georgia Medical Center's Foundation with his wife, Alynda. Jared and Alynda have 3 children, Jared Jr., Walter, and Taylor Anne.
